3. Buddy up! Find a pal that smokes and ask them if they would like to go through the process with you. Everything is much easier when you are not trying to do it alone, so, if you know someone else who is trying to quit, then you can call them when you get the urge to smoke. The best thing to do when you call is let them know the reasons why the urge is so strong and talk it out. Most of the time the craving passes by the time you end your call.
4. Join an online support forum. This is a great idea because there is no set time to log on and join in - the internet is on 24/7. If you have the need to talk at any time of day, you should be able to find someone online. Since everyone on the forum most likely won't be from your area, you don't have to worry about disturbing anyone at odd hours. This is also a great idea because the people you speak with will be going through the same thing as you, which means that there will be no one there to judge you on your progress or minor failures.
As I said at the start, it is very difficult to quit smoking. While that is true, it does not mean that you should not try your best to stop. Things like smelly hair and clothing should be more than enough incentive for you to put the cigarettes down, but if that's not enough then consider the money you will save and the improvements you will see in your overall health.
